Looking to overcome an obstacle similar to mines? Here is the page where you'll find the steps you need to prevent and resolve the same obstacles I've encountered before, during, and after my Akita adventure. Each Obstacle is broken down into two parts: "Ensuring Success" and "Overcoming a Problem." "Ensuring Success" are the steps I recommend you to do to breeze through the obstacle smoothly. If you have encountered the same problem as I have, I recommend you follow the steps in "Overcoming a Problem."
My goal is to help future exchange students better prepare for study abroad. If you know any other ways to better successfully solve each obstacle or had an obstacle that you had difficulty overcoming that is not listed here, help me and your fellow exchange students by letting us know how you did it by clicking here.

Wiring Money
International students can make payments to their student account by wiring the funds from abroad. Wiring can be as simple as going to your bank to make a deposit. There are, however, many things that could go wrong. It could end up like my wire where the money reaches the school without any name on it. To ensure a successful wire, read the steps below "Ensuring Success" or learn how I got myself out of the situation under "Overcoming a Problem."

Obtaining Prescriptions
Obtaining a large amount of medicine before you go to another country can be one of the most difficult things to prepare. If you plan to stay in another country for less than 3 months, you won't have to worry. Depending on your prescriptions, most insurance companies will allow you to pick up a maximum supply of 90 days from your pharmacy. In this guide, I've created three plans in which you can follow to ensure that you obtain all your medicine. All though they are three different plans, I suggest that you do all of them.

Securing Permission for Prescriptions
Getting your prescriptions from your home country to another country can be like going through a safe that has multiple locks and combinations on it. Getting to the other side requires a lot of keys and combinations. In this guide, I will be giving you a brief idea of what you need to do before you take your prescriptions to another country. For those of you leaving from Hawaii to Japan, I have a more detailed guide to ensure your success.

Transporting Prescriptions
Once you obtain your prescriptions and all the important documents, it's time to pack it up. Packing it can be as important as obtaining them. You wanna make sure that when you pack your prescriptions in a luggage that they can be easily inspected if questioned. You don't want the security to be pulling out all the clothes covering your medicine right before your flight.
